Second Chance Creations -
These are just a few examples of the beautiful creations made with the materials purchased at our sales.
HAC’s commitment to accessible, affordable, and free items, including books, via donations has put us in a leadership position with this creative approach to environmental stewardship. Second Chance Supplies Sale: Art Materials & More, is dedicated to sustainability, environmental initiatives and the community. To date, over 2, 683 lbs. of Second Chance materials have been upcycled, repurposed and saved from landfills through our sale.
To date, HAC has received over 6,000 lbs. of donated creative materials. Using EPA standards and the environmental impact calculation, this program has saved the equivalent of 8.70 metric tons of CO2, the output of 34,799 miles driven and 145 seedlings grown. The $6,050 of materials sold, saved creatives $25,650.
The impact of Second Chance directly benefits our community and the environment. Teachers, students, families on a budget, parent teacher activities, an artist who lost everything in a fire, are just a few of the examples of those who have benefitted from the accessible materials sale. Funds raised go to HAC’s programs.
All major forms of payment are accepted. *Proceeds from Second Chance Supplies Sale support the general programs of Huntington Arts Council.
