The Statewide Community Regrant, New Works Artist Grant supports new works created by artists that connect with Long Island communities and celebrate the essential role artists play in shaping our shared cultural landscape.
This grant funds individual projects that include a form of community engagement chosen by the artist that makes a meaningful local impact. Engagement can take many forms, from hosting a public event like an exhibition, performance, or workshop, to collaborating with community members during the creative process. Artists are encouraged to design an approach that best fits their practice, whether that means presenting a public program or engaging directly with a specific segment of the community to create their new body of work.
Individual artists creating new, original work in all artistic disciplines, living in Nassau or Suffolk Counties at the time of application and for the duration of the project are eligible to apply.
