SCR Grants ARE:
Community Arts grants provide funding for arts & cultural projects and activities that enable Nassau and Suffolk communities to experience and engage with the performing, literary, media, and visual arts.
Arts Education grants are designed to support arts education projects that bring teaching artists into dedicated learning spaces for students of all ages. Funds support arts education programs for closed groups of learners.
The New Works Artist Grant supports individual artists by funding locally driven, artist-initiated projects and celebrating the vital role artists play in our communities. This opportunity provides resources for artists to develop a new body of work while fostering meaningful connections with the public through community engagement.
This bi-monthly funding opportunity continues to support arts and cultural programming led by individual artists and non-profit organizations, with a focus on projects that create a clear and meaningful public impact. Every other month, funding is awarded to two Individual Artists and two Non-Profit Organizations making an impact through the arts. All proposed programs must be open to the public.
