You may apply for a Micro Grant every other month, January through November 2026, until you are funded. 

No, a community partner is not required for the Bi-Monthly Community Micro Grant.

Community partners are required  for Community Arts and Arts Education grants. Community engagement is required for the New Works Artist grant. Review all the requirements at each SCR grant page, here on our website.

Any artist, collective or organization considering applying for a Community Arts, Arts Education or New Works Artist grant must attend a grants information session.

Organizations applying to the Bi-Monthly Community MIcro Grant, Community Arts and Arts Education grants must be currently recognized as 501(c)(3) by the IRS.

ALL applicants must show proof of address in Nassau or Suffolk county.

No, any student matriculated in a full-time academic program cannot apply for any  LI Grants for the Arts opportunity, including SCR grants.

No, any business including LLC’s cannot apply to any LI Grants for the Arts opportunity, including SCR grants.

Yes however, programs must take place in the county where the individual artist and/or organization applicant and/or organization partner are located.

Yes, 2026 Artist Fellows and GOS awardees are eligible to apply to any SCR grant opportunity in 2026.

Yes. The LI Grants for the Arts program, including SCR, Artist Fellowship and General Operating Support opportunities are open to all arts disciplines. No arts disciplines are prioritized for funding.

The Bi-Monthly Community Micro Grant is part of the Statewide Community Regrant (SCR) program that also includes the Community Arts grant, Arts Education grant and New Works Artist grant.
If you apply for a $1,000 Micro Grant and receive funding, you cannot apply for any other SCR grant in 2026.

If you apply for a MIcro Grant and do not receive funding, you can apply for another SCR opportunity, if the grants timeline permits.

If you apply for an SCR grant and do not receive funding, you can apply for a Micro Grant in 2026, if your proposed program fits the remaining Micro Grant application schedule. The application schedule and more information for the Micro Grant is found here on our website.
