“Cannons and Kids” – Director Don Sherman and a surprise guest conductor wind up the 66th season of free concerts with a spotlight on youth: young musicians from the Northport Schools’ SMartSummer music program present their final concert on the Krueger Bandstand earlier in the evening, and some will join the Community Band in one selection! A raffle winner from our “Bring a Can to the Concert” food donation campaign will conduct Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever”, and the traditional Tchaikovsky “1812 Overture” with cannon will be another unforgettable finale.
