Braiding the world’s only two classical music traditions —Western and Indian—vocalist Rohini B. Ramanathan and pianist Carol Goodwin will present energy-filled note-singing practices of the Western DoReMiFaSoLaTi and their Indian equivalent, SaRiGaMaPaDaNi, and their improvisational and extemporaneous versions. This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature administered by the Huntington Arts Council.
