General Operating Support Grants for Nonprofits
Congratulations to this year’s General Operating Support awardees, 16 Long Island–based arts organizations receiving general operating support grants of $7,000 or $10,000. These grants help sustain and strengthen the vital work these organizations do to enrich and grow our local communities through the arts.

2026 GOS Grantees Next Steps and Requirements
Huntington Arts Council encourages all GOS grantees to share your progress with us during the award period. We are providing you with a media toolkit to facilitate the use of social posts, marketing and promotion and sharing news about the organization’s activities.
Media Toolkit
The Toolkit includes the following:
- Logo -This logo must be used in all social media posts, printed materials, website etc. to designate any programming or activities related to your general operating support award. The GOS grant is not only for programming so feel free to share news and updates about the organization with your community and include the GOS grantee logo. Click here for the greyscale logo. - Credit line – must be used on all social posts, digital and printed materials, website, publicity etc. related to your grant award activities.

Community Building-
Zoom Check Ins – Our monthly Zoom check-ins are a chance to reconnect, share updates, resources and ask questions along the way. These informal gatherings help us stay in touch and support one another throughout the fiscal year. A representative from the funded GOS organization must attend at least one Zoom Check In during the award year.
Check-ins will take place on the first Tuesday of each month from 6 – 7 PM. Our first check in is on February 3rd. No registration is required, just drop in!
REPORTING
GOS Grantees are required to submit the following reports via Jotform:Â
- An Initial Funding Report due no later than January 31, 2026 including information related to the first half of the fiscal year.

- A Progress Report due no later than April 10, 2026 detailing progress in funds allocation, challenges and ongoing organizational objectives.

- Â A Final Report due no later than July 31, 2026, detailing what the grant funds were used for (along with proof of payments, receipts and paid invoices), reflecting the budget that was approved and how the funds helped the organization grow and achieve their mission.
