Westbury Arts proudly presents an exhibition of Islamic Art. Across the Islamic world, visual art has three key characteristics; floral motifs, geometric designs, and/or calligraphy. Often overlapping across various art forms and genres, these elements are influenced by principles in the Qu’ran. This exhibit will be grouped by examples of these three art forms. The show will be curated by Dr. Farouk Khan, a member of the board of directors of the Islamic Center of Long Island, and his niece, Daisy Khan.
