This online workshop will teach how to find the stories in your actual life experiences and discuss the fundamentals of telling them with humor and heart.
The skills to tell a great story can elevate the impact of a professional presentation, make our talk the one everyone remembers, take a wedding toast, or a personal tribute to an emotional high note. Through a well-told story, information and facts flow, and listeners are carried along with fascination and feeling. Learning to craft an authentic experience into a story meant to be told out loud is empowering, useful, and most importantly – fun! In this workshop, we will engage in “story mining” exercises that help us view life experiences through a storytelling lens and identify experiences we wish to bring from the page to the stage. We will also learn the fundamental techniques for crafting a story that transports the listener and makes our story powerful and memorable.
