Dance Visions NY presents Art and Music in Motion

Dance Visions NY , under the direction of Beth Jucovy, will be back at Elmont Library with a premiere of a new program “Art and Music in Motion.” The concert features new dance and dance/theater works with projected imagery, adding new layers to series’ of original paintings by local visual artists as well as new dance pieces inspired by various genres of music. Featured will be “Subway Windows,” a work in which groups of diverse subway riders engage in the NY ritual of ignoring each other. Dance and the projected imagery provide a glimpse into each riders’ psyche. This program is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by The Huntington Arts Council, Inc.
