Beyond the No: Celebrating Creative Persistence — A REJECTED Discussion

An intimate table talk with creatives who turned rejection into momentum — part of REJECTED at Kasher Gallery & Studios.
Every creative person hears “no.” What matters is what comes next.
Beyond the No is an intimate table talk featuring creatives from a range of disciplines who have transformed rejection into momentum. Through candid conversation, they’ll share how setbacks became catalysts for new ideas, unexpected collaborations, and self-directed opportunities that reshaped their creative paths.
Featured Panelists:
Marie Saint-Cyr — Founder, Saint-Cyr Art Studio
Jen Salta — Artist & Jeweler, J. Salta
Vince Scuderi — Producer, Jazz at the Barn
Dorothy Santana — President & Founder, Latina Moms Connect
Kevin Lopez — Filmmaker & Educator; director/producer of La Salsa Vive (streaming on Netflix Latin America) and Founding Principal of Motion Picture Tech High School, Long Island City
Designed as an open conversation with audience participation, Beyond the No celebrates resilience, resourcefulness, and the many paths available to artists. Whether you’re an emerging or established creative, you’ll leave with a renewed perspective on rejection — not as an ending, but as an invitation to imagine new possibilities and create opportunities of your own.
