Join sculptor and fiber artist Sherry Davis for “United We Weave: Community Weave-In” — a patriotic collaborative project where participants will help weave a large American flag made from repurposed fire hose.

Davis is best known for “Harvesting Memories in Blue”, the iconic 12-foot geodesic denim sphere that was displayed on Sound Avenue in Riverhead.

Visitors of all ages are warmly invited to help weave the flag and attach their personal messages — creating a living tribute woven together by the community.

You can also learn about her upcoming major public sculpture, “Grateful Turnout”, (which has been supported by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts). This work, created using repurposed first responder gear, honors firefighters and first responders. Donations of used first responder gear are actively being accepted.
