The Huntington Arts Council believes that the arts have the power to impact our lives on every scale. Join us in making a difference, one tiny canvas at a time!
For the past two years, HAC has invited artists to participate in Small Canvas, Big Impact, an exhibition & fundraiser. Small Canvas, Big Impact is made up of donated artwork created on 10″ x 10″ canvases supplied by the Huntington Arts Council. The artwork, created by artists throughout our community, is featured in a gallery exhibition culminating with a celebratory, ticketed, fundraising event.
Each ticket sold provides the opportunity to take home an original piece of artwork while supporting the Huntington Arts Council. Proceeds from the event and ticket sales go directly to HAC and its programs supporting our mission of enriching the quality of life of long islanders with programs and services that address the needs and interests of artists, cultural organizations, and the community.
Huntington Arts Council is a 501(C)(3) not for profit organization.
How to be a part of Small Canvas, Big Impact
Participation Details
- Pick up dates start on September 9 and end on Friday, October 17.
- First come, first served. Canvases are limited
- Reserve canvas(es) and chose pick up date and time through clicking on this link.
- HAC Artist Circle Members receive the first canvas free. Additional canvas cost $10
- Non-members pay $10 per canvas.
- Maximum of 2 canvases per entrant.
- All work must be original to the entrant and cannot exceed the 10″ x 10″ canvas.
- All media welcome.
- The artist is responsible for providing a high-resolution image for printing and promotional use.
- Submissions must be made online and are due by Nov. 7th.

from Oct. 21st – 24th, Oct. 28th – Oct. 31st, Nov. 4th – Nov. 7th- Eligibility
- Artists of all skill levels are eligible to enter.
- Ownership
- HAC will maintain ownership of the original artwork. The original artwork will be sold during a live ticketed event with proceeds benefitting HAC’s general programming
- Artist retains copyright, however, HAC has license to use the piece for promotion of HAC’s general programming and the exhibition.

- Purchase tickets to our fundraiser reception at the Main Street Gallery, Dec 12th $35 per ticket.
