Iconography, Juried by Alexandra “Sasha” Giordano, will explore how traditional symbols and imagery can be reimagined through contemporary practices. Defined as Iconography, the use of visual imagery, symbols, and figures to convey complex ideas relating but not limited to culture, history, and religion, will be central to this exhibit’s theme. Through this lens, artists are encouraged to reinterpret traditional iconography in innovative ways.
All interpretations of the concept are welcome.
ENTRIES
- Entries must be original to the entrant.
- Hanging wire required
- No more than 2 works will be selected by the juror.
- All Artists and media
SIZE
- Hanging work 48″ x 48″ max Standing work 72″ max
- Video/audio work cannot exceed 50MB in file size and 10 minutes in duration.
SALES
- HAC retains a 25% commission on sold work
