Call to All Student Artists – Nightmare on Main Street

The Huntington Arts Council invites students to submit work that is inspired by a Halloween theme– be it dark, light-hearted or just plain scary!

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all student artists. Artwork must be available October 16-31, 2015.

ENTRY FEE: $25.00 for two entries of the same artists. (additional entries by same artist $5 each). Due to the limited wall space of our Main Street Gallery there may not be more than 2 pieces of one artist’s work selected

ENTRIES: High resolution digital images formatted for pc (4 x 6 @ 300 dpi) (No previous artwork shown the Main Street Gallery will be accepted). DEADLINE EXTENDED! – Entries are due October 2nd 

MEDIUM: Any medium, including but not limited to acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, drawings, mixed media, sculpture, photography and collage.

SIZE: Size limitation 28” x 36” in width and height including frame. Sculpture height limit not to exceed 6 ft.

CALENDAR: All entries (CD only) must be received by the Huntington Arts Council, 213 Main St., Huntington, by Monday, September 28, 2015. Entries will not be returned.

FINALISTS: Artists will be notified of results by Friday, October 9, 2015 and if selected asked to drop off their work on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 between 9am and 5pm. Artwork must be framed and ready to hang. Sculptures if not a standalone piece, black or white simple pedestal must accompany piece. Costume Party reception is Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 6pm-8pm.

AWARDS: Prizes of $50 each will be awarded in two categories: Senior Division (grades 9-12) and Junior division (grades 8 and below)
