Eight paintings and drawings by Barbara Boyd Carter, including the pastel of Old Stone Church in Monroeville, will be displayed in a group show of local artists, Sept. 1-26. Her pictures of landmarks, landscapes, and old houses are on loan from the Monroeville Historical Society and the Heinz History Center of Pittsburgh. Barbara Boyd Carter studied with Andy Warhol’s teachers at Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon) in the early 1950s. Hampton Inn is a four-block walk from the library.
