JUROR: Stanley Brodsky lives & works on Long Island, NY. Brodsky is lifelong resident of the New York metro area. After undergraduate studies in Missouri, MFA in Iowa, he returned to Columbia University for a doctorate in Art Education. Brodsky was Director of Studio programs in LIU CW Post, and continues to be involved in art education. Brodsky has been an exhibiting artist in New York city for more than 50 years – currently with June Kelly Gallery and his work is in many museum collections in the eastern US. Recently honored as Artist of the Year at Arthamptons 2015, his passion for painting is as strong now as ever. He has traveled extensively absorbing the colors and textures of new landscapes.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists including full time students.
MEDIUM: Any medium, including but not limited to acrylic, oil,
watercolor and pastel. (no photography, sculpture or digital art).
ENTRIES: All entries must be original to entrant. Must be framed with hanging wire on back. No artwork previously shown in the Main Street Gallery will be accepted. Submission materials cannot be returned. Entry Deadline April 8
SIZE FRAMED: Up to 50H x 44W. (including frame)
ENTRY FEE: First 2 entries:
Artist members $25, Full-time students $25, Non-members
$35. Additional entries $5 ea. No more than 2 works per artist will be selected.
SALES: The Huntington Arts Council retains a 25% commission on all work sold.
LIABILITY & INSURANCE: All work is insured while in the possession of the Huntington Arts Council.

Entry Deadline: April 8

Reception: Friday, May 13, 2016, 6 – 8 pm
Show Runs: May 13-June 4, 2016

There are two options available to enter the show

Digital images must be no larger than 7mb (300 dpi, 2400 pixels on the longest side)

[box style=\”download\”]2) Submit a paper application by downloading prospectus  Juried Art Show “Condition of Light Affecting the Landscape of Spring on Long Island” mail or drop off completed form with CD of digital images and payment to the Huntington Arts Council, 213 Main Street, Huntington NY 11743. [/box]
