This play depicts the experience of an editor named Joan who receives an unexpected phone call just two weeks after 9/11. The call came from Nick, a fire captain who has lost most of his men in the attack. He’s looking for a writer to help him with the eulogies he must present at their memorial services. Nick and Joan spent a long afternoon together, recalling the fallen men by recounting their virtues and their foibles and fashioning the stories into memorials of words. Based on a true story. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Free tickets will be available at the Circulation Desk.
