From coastal lighthouses to the lanterns that launched Paul Revere’s midnight ride, discover how light has carried messages across dark waters and city streets throughout time. Explore historic incidents when light was used by mariners and American patriots as tools of warning, coordination, and resistance—while sipping a refreshing glass of our colonial-inspired “Paul Revere’s Punch.” Then craft your own beachy twine-wrapped glass lantern to take home and enjoy.

This event is part of our “Liberty at Sea” series—a new year long program commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Bring your passport to the program and get a passport stamp!
