The Balanced Mind Curriculum Conference (BMCC), in collaboration with Nassau NYSCAME, provides educators with high-quality professional development in the areas of Art, Dance, Music, and Theater. Educators share ideas with colleagues across Long Island, New York, with the overall aim of enhancing content knowledge and pedagogical skills, promoting a culture of professional inquiry, and addressing curricular connections.
Eric Fine will present his revolutionary approach to teaching music theory and demonstrate that all music, including all theory terms and topics, can be distilled into a single unifying concept. He will then illustrate how, from an understanding of this one concept, an organized overview of how all music works and is created naturally unfolds.
