The Huntington Summer Arts Festival is a FREE live entertainment event that takes place at the Chapin Rainbow Stage in Heckscher Park, Huntington NY, 11743.
The 2024 festival ran June 21, 2024 until August 24th Wednesday through Sunday.

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s A Grand Night For Singing
A Grand Night for Singing is a musical revue showcasing the music of Richard Rodgers and the lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein II.
Features songs from such lesser-known works as Allegro, Me and Juliet, State Fair, and Pipe Dream, modest successes like Flower Drum Song and hits like Carousel, Oklahoma!, The King and I, South Pacific, Cinderella and The Sound of Music, it originally was presented cabaret-style at Rainbow & Stars at the top of Rockefeller Center.

Vance Gilbert
Folk Artist Vance Gilbert is noted not only for being the ever-consummate performer, Gilbert has recorded 13 albums, including 5 for Philo/Rounder Records. Along with being opener of choice for artists as varied as Arlo Guthrie, Anita Baker, The Milk Carton Kids, and Southside Johnny, the mid 2000s found Gilbert opening 150+ shows for comedian George Carlin.

Huntington Men’s Chorus
Since its founding in 1949, the Huntington Men’s Chorus has been bringing the music of the world’s greatest choral composers and arrangers to Long Island.

Its purpose is to educate the community about the remarkable talents of people with diverse abilities, inspire people to reach beyond their limitations to explore their own creativity, and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in the arts.

The Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra performs your most beloved music favorites from Broadway, Television and the Movies. The Nassau Pops has performed with Marvin Hamlisch, singer/recording artist Linda Eder, songwriter Jimmy Webb, singer/impressionist Marilyn Michaels, and The Cast of Beatlemania. Their concert with tenor, Michael Amante, was seen nationwide and nominated for a New York Emmy Award. Their concerts have also featured performances with Saturday Night Live’s Joe Piscopo as well as the original members of The Brooklyn Bridge.

That 70’s band, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, The Trammps
70’s in the Park
Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes racked up several chart-topping albums and singles during the mid-’70s, including epochal No. 1’s like “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” and “The Love I Lost”. Despite their popularity, the band’s lineup continued to shift throughout the ’70s and ’80s, and in 1996 they called it quits after Harold Melvin suffered a debilitating stroke. The group made a triumphant return to the stage in 2013 for the Soul Train Cruise, performing with original member Lloyd Parks — a seasoned veteran who continues to join the group on their unforgettable tours.

Albums We Love
Performing Born in the USA (40th Anniversary)
Albums We Love was formed in 2013 as an offshoot of the Dowling College World Music Ensemble. It began as a suggestion among members of that group to deviate from its ordinary selection of traditional & contemporary global folk music and to experiment with something more accessible and grounded in their varied individual musical tastes.
The name “Albums We Love” reflects the notion that each member needs to be emotionally invested in an album for the group to select a project. The shared passion of each member for every album is amplified by a passionately engaged local community which is continually offering album suggestions and asking about the band’s next selection.

Haitian-American jazz vocalist and music therapist Claudia Zanes and Grammy Award winning
all-ages entertainer Dan Zanes have been making music together since the day they met in
2016. During their time together the two have toured extensively; written and performed Night
Train 57: A Sensory Friendly Comic Folk Opera for the Kennedy Center; created House Party: A
Family Roots Music Treasury songbook for Quarto Publishing Group; and released their first
record as a duo, Let Love Be Your Guide, for Smithsonian Folkways. Their follow-up Folkways
album, Pieces of Home, will be released in August 2024.

their social electric folk music with them wherever they go. People attend the highly interactive

Born & raised in Gary, IN, Tyree Austin is an aspiring vocalist with versatility and knowledge in
R&B, Gospel, Jazz, & Blues. He is a recent Howard University Graduate of the Chadwick A
Boseman College of Fine Arts, receiving his Bachelors in Music Business & Jazz Voice. While
at Howard, Tyree’s collegiate trajectory includes being a member of Afro Blue, Howard’s
premiere vocal jazz ensemble, The Howard Gospel Choir, & Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of
America Inc. He has had the honor as both a solo and ensemble artist to share the stage with &
sing background for Mariah Carey, Fantasia, Chaka Khan, Mavis Staples, Queen Latifah, Tia

Just Wild About Harry Tribute Concert
The annual “Just Wild About Harry” tribute concert will feature some of Long Island’s top musicians and songwriters as they perform the music of Harry Chapin, the late Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and social activist.
This year’s tribute concert will be held in the Chapin’s long time home Huntington New York. Like in past shows, participating artists will be encouraged to put their own interpretations on his songs. Donations will be collected for Long Island Cares, the food bank founded by Chapin. Long Island Cares will also be collecting non-perishable food donations, and selling T-shirts and other merchandise

Ally Venable
Texas blues-rock singer/songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire, Ally Venable, entertains wherever she goes. With her signature glitter dresses and black knee-high boots, Venable comes off of the ropes swinging dazzling crowds on tour or throughout the festival circuit. “Venable pulls off a stunner of gritty and/or sultry blues rock tunes embellished with lots of tasty guitar solos.” – Guitar Player Magazine. A Kilgore, Texas native, Ally began singing at church at four and picked up the guitar at age 12. By 13, she started her own band and through her early influence of Stevie Ray Vaughan captured the passion and yearning for more in the blues genre. Venable now in her 20’s, released another Blues Billboard charting album, Heart of Fire (2021), which challenged her to write not only about love but the unguarded honesty of feeling pain.” In 2022, Guitar World Magazine named Ally #2 on the top 15 Young Guns Making the Gibson Les Paul Cool Again, and she received the Road Warrior award from the Independent Blues Music Awards. Along with Ally’s own tour domestically and in Europe, her band has supported Buddy Guy and Kenny Wayne Shepherd throughout the US, as well as Colin James in Canada. She has performed as a featured artist on the Experience Hendrix Show at the ACL Live at Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. Fans are anticipating Venable’s upcoming spring 2023 release produced by Grammy award winning producer, Tom Hambridge, which includes a duet with the iconic Buddy Guy and a song featuring powerhouse guitarists Joe Bonamassa.

Damien Sneed & Friends
As a multi-genre recording artist and instrumentalist, Damien LeChateau Sneed is a pianist, vocalist, organist, composer, conductor, arranger, producer, and arts educator whose work spans multiple genres. He has worked with jazz, classical, pop, and R&B legends, including the late Aretha Franklin and Jessye Norman, Wynton Marsalis, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Ashford & Simpson, Denyce Graves, Lawrence Brownlee, and many others. In addition, Sneed has served as music director for several Grammy Award–winning gospel artists, including The Clark Sisters, Richard Smallwood, Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Marvin Sapp, Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, and Kim Burrell, among others, and BET’s hit gospel competition, Sunday Best. Sneed is a 2014 Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient, a 2020 Dove Award winner, and a 2021 NAACP Image Award winner for his work as a featured producer and writer on the Clark Sisters’ project, The Return. He recently joined the esteemed faculty of Howard University and The Juilliard School.

The FUMOS are a NYC-based band reviving the glorious horn-heavy instrumental music of the 70s, with memorable classic tunes from funk to rock, soul and jazz that is danceable and fun!
The FuMos bring a loose, fun vibe to their shows that people of all ages love. Director Don Sherman and a surprise guest conductor wind up the 66th season of free concerts with a spotlight on youth: young musicians from the Northport Schools’ SMartSummer music program present their final concert on the Krueger Bandstand earlier in the evening, and some will join the Community Band in one selection! A raffle winner from our “Bring a Can to the Concert” food donation campaign will conduct Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever”, and the traditional Tchaikovsky “1812 Overture” with cannon will be another unforgettable finale.

The Soul returns to Huntington N.Y. to rock the house. The Men of Soul bring their power packed show to the Old School Huntington. The Old School Huntington show is a festival of soul music that has become a staple of the summer Huntington N.Y. season.
The Men of Soul perform hit songs, and revue sets from your favorite R&B artists such as The O’Jays, Earth, Wind & Fire, Men of Motown (Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Ritchie, etc.), 90’s R&B revue (Luther Vandross, Babyface, New Edition, etc.) and their Blue Eyed Soul revue (Doobie Brothers, Hall & Oates, Kenny Loggins, etc.) and so much more. Sarah Gross and The Belle Curves Featuring Allie Sandt
Sarah Gross and her band bring a little bit of Nashville to New York. Sarah’s storytelling driven performances have won the hearts of audiences near and far, cementing her place as a rising star in the indie country music realm. Her newest album, “ The Killjoy”, was recorded between Dreamland Studios in Woodstock, NY, and her childhood bedroom on Long Island. Sarah has been performing ever since she could play a barre chord. Sarah is currently celebrating a viral moment after singing on stage with country music star, Zach Bryan, at UBS Arena. She has also been hand picked to open for artists such as Sammy Rae & The Friends, Bella White, Lawrence, Jade Bird, and Melt. Allie Sandt is a northern NJ-based singer-songwriter who blends 70s grooves with powerhouse vocals in a playful spin on modern folk-rock. With feel-good melodies and tongue-in-cheek lyricism, every show has the charm and personality of a dive bar stage and the energy of a full arena. Her band is made up of Long Island locals Mia Abazis (drums), Teddy Holly (guitar), and Jedd Kronberg on bass. Allie’s debut single “The Flood” is out now anywhere you get your tunes.

Tito Rodriguez Jr. Orchestra
Tito Rodríguez, Jr is one of the leading Timbales artists in Tropical Music today. Tito’s signature sound is inspired by traditional big bands of the past with a contemporary twist. Prodigiously gifted as an arranger, composer, producer and bandleader, Tito found his Latin music voice through the Timbales.
His recordings are stamped with Tito’s personal signature. Tito’s sophisticated way with lyrics; melody and Latin rhythm have become a worldwide sensation for dancers as well as listeners. In sustaining this musical legacy, his parents remain a source of inspiration.

NYC Ska Orchestra
NYC Ska Orchestra is a 20-piece big band that creates and performs lush original compositions and arrangements of songs from the rich, historic, and culturally-iconic Jamaican music styles of ska, mento, rock steady, reggae, and jazz from the 1950s and 60s. They blend the exuberant musical layers of the jazz big band era with Jamaican roots music into a unique, accessible, joyous and danceable sound that audiences love.
NYCSO is led by arranger, trumpeter and educator Kevin Batchelor; and features 85 year-young celebrated Jamaican percussionist/vocalist Larry MacDonald, and Jamaican master drummer Carl Wright. Together they have recorded and/or performed with nearly every great Jamaican music artist including Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Lee Scratch Perry, Skatalites, and Toots & The Maytals; and they regularly work with the leading Jamaican artists today.

D’Addario Summer Jam
Musicians from D’Addario & Co. will take to the Chapin Rainbow Stage at Heckscher Park in a free concert to support Long Island Cares. Concert goers are asked to bring non-perishable food items and monetary donations.
The performers, most of them employees of the well-respected musical equipment maker in East Farmingdale, will include members of three generations of one family playing music from Elvis Costello and the Pretenders, a husband-wife team, another known as the Human Jukebox, and Los Dos members Greg Romano and Brian Vance.
The jam brings music and food together in a full circle, performing on the stage named for the late Harry Chapin, the Huntington resident who founded Long Island Cares in 1980.

Featuring Justin Poindexter (guitars, vocals), Noah Garabedian (bass), Aaron Thurston (drums), and Sasha Papernik (accordion), the album evokes the expansiveness and romantic allure of the American West–replete with purple hills, silver stars, and the freedom to roam, unhurried and unworried, under endless skies.
Gardner played Frank Sinatra’s vocal counterpart in Twyla Tharp’s hit Broadway production, Come Fly Away, and appeared as a jazz singer in Oscar-winning documentarian Errol Morris’s 2017 Netflix miniseries, Wormwood. She performed with Jeff Goldblum and his band on Goldblum’s opening night at Café Carlyle, prompting New York Magazine to call hers “a voice worth seeking out.” She has been a featured guest on NPR’s Song Travels with Michael Feinstein, Judy Carmichael’s Jazz Inspired (SiriusXM), and WBGO’s Singers Unlimited. DownBeat Magazine declared her an “artist to watch” and named her a Rising Star Female Vocalist four years in a row.

Rob Eberle is a young, versatile singer, songwriter, and producer, originally from Long Island, NY. What sets Rob apart is his extraordinary talent for capturing both his own life experiences and those of others through his music. He is the creative force behind all his songs, crafting both lyrics and melodies, and collaborating with various producers to infuse each track with unique moments.
Eberle’s songs serve as windows into the stories and moments of his life and the lives of those around him. Influenced by a diverse array of artists ranging from FINNEAS, Elliott Smith, Billie Eilish, Jeremy Zucker, Olivia Rodrigo, all the way to Alexander 23, Eberle has carved out his own genre-bending niche in the realm of darker alternative pop-rock.
The power pop band Iridesense formed on Long Island, NY in 1993 – Their music can be heard on Nickelodeon in the shows Zoey 101 (featuring Jaime Lynn Spears) and Drake & Josh. They’ve also been featured on MTV shows such as Pimp My Ride, Room Raiders, NEXT and on an episode of the show “Boiling Points.”
