Saturday, July 7 – Yael Deckelbaum & Prayer of the Mothers Ensemble – Inspirational Canadian/Israeli Folk
Yael Deckelbaum is an award-winning Israeli/Canadian singer-songwriter and activist who has performed around the globe. Her song “Prayer of The Mothers” turned into the anthem for a march of hope from the north of Israel to Jerusalem by thousands of women – half Palestinian and half Israeli – in an exhilarating call for peace.
In similar fashion to Joan Baez, she is now on the forefront of a peace movement with an organization called “Women Wage Peace” whose message of hope and peace has resonated all around the world.
