Simeone along with NYDT professionals and students from Ohman School of Ballet and American School of Ballet.\nCreated by Founder Frank Ohman and Directed by Executive Artistic Director Nicole Loizides.\nWe proudly present choreography by Frank Ohman and George Balanchine ©The George Balanchine Trust. \nSince 1982\, Frank Ohman’s New York Dance Theatre\, together with the Ohman School of Ballet has presented the full length “Nutcracker” story ballet every December. This is a full production ballet with guest artists from leading companies and a cast of eighty children\, semi-professional and professional dancers. It is traditionally the largest production of “THE NUTCRACKER” on Long Island\, boasting a 25 foot growing tree\, a full stage of snow and battle scene\, sizzling effects\, and 4 hand-painted backdrops. NYDT is now happy to share its semi-immersive experience before the show even begins. Waltz directly into the Silberhaus foyer and meet the family. DESCRIPTION:New York Dance Theatre\, under the Direction of Artistic Director Nicole Loizides Albruzzese and Associate Artistic Director David Fernandez\, celebrates its 41st season of the Nutcracker at Hofstra University. Show dates are December 16th and 17th with shows at both 12 and 5pm. This professional production is the only production in the region staged in the tradition of George Balanchine giving it its reputation as the closest to New York City Ballet’s Nutcracker than any other.\nNYDT Artistic Advisor and NYCB Principal dancer Daniel Ulbricht returns this year with Northport native and New York City Ballet Soloist Erica Pereira to join our company of professional and pre-professional dancers including students from the Ohman School of Ballet.
