DESCRIPTION:Watercolors are perceived as difficult\, unforgiving medium to paint in and the hardest to learn and impossible to correct. I teach the beauty of how forgiving the medium really by painting landscapes\, florals\, waterscapes\, still lifes\, people… we paint anything and all things! \nYou will gain a new skill\, a deeper understanding of the medium and lose the fear around watercolors\, have fun and develop tangible ideas that they can use way beyond these classes. I simply LOVE this medium and long to embrace the unexpected and unusual effects of watercolors and integrate them into my paintings.

DESCRIPTION:Current Artist Circle members and students from JOURNEY partner schools are invited to participate in this exclusive opportunity to create original art work for the cover of the Summer 2024 issue of Arts Cultural Magazine. The focus of the Summer issue is the 59th Huntington Summer Arts Festival. This mainstay event brings the community together to experience live music\, theatre and dance at the Chapin Rainbow Stage in Heckscher Park\, Huntington. \nEntries should be work that has been inspired by\, and represents the energy and excitement of the live performance based Huntington Summer Arts Festival. One work will be chosen out of all the entries for the cover of the magazine and a stipend of $250 will be awarded to the artist.
