Long Island Arts Grants Recipients
Huntington Arts Council regrants state government funding, granted to us by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA, allocated by our state officials elected to Senate and Assembly).
This is a wonderful time to write or call your elected officials, letting them know the impact of their decision to continue their support of the New York State Council on the Arts!
It’s important to let our elected officials know the cultural happenings of their districts so they understand the need for support, and not just in times of emergency.
Please write to or call your elected official and include in your letter:
- The fact that the New York State Council on the Arts, via the Huntington Arts Council, supported your project;
- How much you were funded;
- The title and short blurb of your project including community impact (how many people you think will attend);
- Where and when it is planned to take place.
Recipients can find their state information here: Assembly and Senate.
Crediting Your 2022 Grant
How a project credited is very important. It helps raise awareness for crucial arts funding programs like SCR and organizations like the New York State Council on the Arts and shows your Legislators and NYSCA council members how valuable these funds are. Please use the following language accompanied by the Huntington Arts Council logo as frequently as possible. Please note this is a new logo and should be used in place of any older version.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Huntington Arts Council.
