Contact Your Elected Officials
Huntington Arts Council regrants government funding provided by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA, allocated by our state officials elected to Senate and Assembly).
Let your elected officials know how much this funding impacted your community and encourage them to continue their support of HAC and NYSCA. It’s important to let elected officials know the cultural happenings of their districts need their support not just in times of emergency.
Please write to or call your elected official and include in your letter:
- The fact that the New York State Council on the Arts, via the Huntington Arts Council, supported your project;
- How much you were funded;
- The title and short blurb of your project, including community impact (how many people you think will attend);
- Where and when it is planned to take place.
