DESCRIPTION:The Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (BAFFA) invites you to its first-ever Holiday Pop-Up Artisan Show on Saturday and Sunday\, December 16th and 17th from noon to 4:00 PM. The Pop-Up Show features artwork by local artisans that sells for $100.00 or less. Also featured will be BAFFA’s Victorian Carolers and a sing-a-long\, and a live reading of Silver Packages\, a Christmas story\, on Saturday afternoon. Sunday afternoon will feature holiday favorites by pianist\, Maurice Kemp\, and a live reading of Snowmen at Night. Children are invited to color a coloring book page\, created by local artists\, that will be displayed in the BAFFA Art Gallery. The artist\, Catherine Rezin\, after a career as a textile designer\, turned to painting landscapes and portraits after retirement. She especially loves painting “portraits commissioned by families to memorialize moments in time or lost loved ones. Her desire is to give back to those brave and dedicated people who serve us in so many ways…”. Raffle tickets will be sold at the exhibition to win a portrait of your loved one who lives or gave their life in service (military\, law enforcement\, healthcare\, etc.) Proceeds of the raffle will be donated to BAFFA. Exhibit hours are 1 to 4 PM on October 21 and 22. An artist’s reception will be held on the 21st from 1-4 PM. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
