DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Huntington Moose Lodge for an evening of mostly Swing Dancing starting with a dance lesson at 7:30 PM\, DJ music and mostly swing dancing from 8 until 10 PM. SUMMARY:The Calling Bell presents Opening reception for 'Color Commotion'
DESCRIPTION:Join us in the opening reception for ‘Color Commotion’ featuring the paintings of Lisa Stanko. \nReception will be from 3-5 pm. Light refreshments provided. \nFree and open to the public\, all ages welcome! \nLisa began painting at the age of ten and continued her art education through High School. As an Art Major in college\, she gained inspiration from a diverse combination of classes and informative professors. Learning to look at things differently gave her the freedom to experiment and develop her own style. From college\, Lisa went on to earn an Associate Degree in Advertising Design from the Colorado Institute of Art. She then worked at an Ad Agency as a layout Artist and Art Director. After raising a family she worked as a Retail Manager for 15 years before retiring. In 2022 Lisa began painting again. She has been fortunate enough to have participated in countless group exhibitions on Long Island and California including the Biennial at The Heckscher Museum of Art. Solo Shows at Daniel Gale Southebyʼs In Northport\, The Copiague Memorial Library\, Jack Jackʼs Coffee House in Babylon and The Calling Bell in Huntington. In July of 2026\, Lisa displayed her paintings in a two-person exhibition with a sculptor at The BAFFA Art Gallery in Sayville\, where she sold 4 paintings. After receiving several awards\, opportunities and support from the art community\, she hopes to continue to thrive and grow. Painting has brought fulfillment to Lisaʼs life and the journey has just begun.

His photography has been featured in NBC Nightly News\, the New York Times\, the L.A. Times\, NPR\, Philadelphia Inquirer\, Washington Post\, Yahoo News\, BBC\, New York Post\, Buzzfeed\, the Weather Channel\, the Huffington Post\, the Discovery Channel Magazine\, and many more. He has given presentations about the art of ruins\, abandoned spaces\, preservation\, and mental health history for a wide variety of organizations\, and his work has been displayed in galleries across the United States. Across cultures and centuries\, these narrative forms have provided frameworks for grappling with ethical dilemmas\, personal responsibility\, power\, courage\, and compassion. We will artistically express how these foundational moral narratives resonate within contemporary challenges in an increasingly perilous world. Through dance works alongside song\, spoken word\, and visual art\, the program reinterprets these stories through a contemporary artistic lens allowing audiences to encounter these ideas viscerally and reflectively. SUMMARY:The Art Guild presents Exploring the Cityscape in Pastel with Donna Levinstone
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop we will explore the lines of cityscape as compared to the organic shapes of the landscape. We will also look at similarities between the two such as lighting and mood. Over the years many artists explored the city in their paintings and we will be learning about them as well. \nAll levels of students are welcome.
