DESCRIPTION:Open to the public\, this wonderful evening showcases dance as an art form and cultural celebration.\nEnjoy the setting sun over Hempstead Harbor while watching some of the countries top artists including dancers from New York City Ballet\, Dance Theatre of Harlem\, Broadway\, Pennsylvania Ballet\, San Francisco Ballet\, and so many more. Every year GCDF hosts a wide array of Folkloric dancers representing regions from around the world including but not limited to Mexico\, Japan\, China\, the Middle East\, and Africa\, making this a very unique evening for all families to enjoy! This year we welcome 4 world premieres by Skyla Schreter\, Fadi Khoury\, Keerati Jinakunwiphat and Da’ Don Doane.\nThe event is free to the public\, though we recommend a $20 donation to help keep our mission alive and thriving throughout the year. This festival acts a gateway for many young artists to connect with resources that are necessary in pursuing a career in dance and our Développé program connecting at-risk youth with dance through free workshops\, classes\, and scholarships.\nThe Gold Coast Dance Festival is scheduled every first Saturday in August at 6pm in Morgan Memorial Park in Glen Cove. The rain date is the following Saturday. Adrien Chevalier will be adding French flair with his violin and vocals. \nIn addition to his busy touring schedule\,Vinny Raniolo has become a familiar figure on Public Television. Featured previously on three popular shows\, including the heavily programmed Tommy Emmanuel and Friends\, in Frank Vigno­la’s Four Generations of Guitar as the youngest generation in the lineage of jazz guitarists with veteran Bucky Pizzarelli and in the Music Gone Public series.
