SUMMARY:The Paramount Tribute Series Presents: Killer Queen
DESCRIPTION:Killer Queen at The Paramount – originally scheduled on July 11th\, 2020 and postponed to July 10th\, 2021 & November 8th\, 2021 – has been rescheduled to July 8th\, 2022 \nHuntington\, Long Island\, N.Y. (Monday\, July 26\, 2021 @ 10am) – Due to circumstances outside of our control\, Killer Queen – originally scheduled for July 11th\, 2020 & postponed to July 10th\, 2021 & November 10th\, 2021 has been rescheduled until July 8th\, 2022. No exchanges are required – all tickets from 7/11/20\, 7/10/21 or 11/8/21 will be valid for 7/8/22. For any questions or concerns\, you can call the venue at (631) 673-7300 or visit paramountny.com. \nLead singer Patrick Myers said “It’s been an amazing journey. That first show back in June 1993 changed my life. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most but it’s a very addictive thing performing these songs! The concerts grew and grew and we’ve ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It’s been quite a surreal ride. \nBecoming regular performers Red Rocks Arena in America is another highlight . The Beatles\, U2\, Springsteen\, Dylan all played on that stage. It’s really got it’s own kind of magic going on there” \n2019 sees the band’s fourth and biggest 10 week US tour as well headlining across Europe\, Scandinavia and Russia. \nMAGIC YEARS \nKiller Queen formed back in June 1993. Their first public shows were at London University\, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there 21 years earlier. \nBy 1995 Killer Queen’s UK popularity had grown to such an extent they secured a residency in London’s Strand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage – the first tribute to have a show in the West End . \nThe band’s reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad. In 1999 they returned from a tour of and Europe and Russia for an awards ceremony in Leicester Square\, hosted by Suggs from Madness. He announced they had won the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band” . \nThe band also scored a number one hit when they they were asked to recreate Queen’s harmonies for “The Real Life” with Fatboy Slim in 2001. \nKiller Queen toured into their second decade\, the audiences grew. In 2005 they played Ahoy Stadium\, where the reformed Queen would be performing only a few months later. \nThe next year Killer Queen joined forces with Bjorn Again and The Bootleg Beatles for a Waverley Stadium show in Edinburgh. It was this performance that led to the band being selected to represent Queen in a re-staged tribute LiveAid concert held by Sir Bob Geldof. They performed with him at his arena charity concert to raise funds for the homeless. \n2009 saw a triumphant return to a sold out Ahoy stadium with their acclaimed “Queen Spectacular” production and another award\, this time from Sweden’s Vasteras concert hall “Best Concert of The Year 2009”. 2013 saw them performing in another one of Queen’s former venues\, this time the Brighton Centre to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. \nIn 2016 Killer Queen set their sights on America including the awe inspiring Red Rocks Arena in Colorado – one of the countries most prestigious venues. The Beatles\, Springsteen\, U2 have all played there and the band are delighted it’s become a regular fixture on Killer Queen’s tour sheet. \n“Concerts as near to the real thing as you’re likely to get. A real life Bohemian Rhapsody. \nFreddie Lives! A Pop Legend Is back” -The People \n“Killer Queen is a living jukebox\, an absolutely fantastic show. This an evening where you feel the hair stand on the back of your neck. I’ve never seen the arena explode with such an electric charge. The sound is perfect…A Concert to remember” \nThe VLT – Sundsvall Sweden. \n“This guy is not to be missed” Editor Brian May.com \nNo detail is overlooked. Killer Queen are kings of the musical impersonators\, the highest of tributes. Duncan Kennedy BBC 1 \nVery accurate. Almost frightening. The show\, singing\, music and appearance are unbelievably similar to the original. Skipping across the stage with his three and half octave broad tenor powering through the arena\, Patrick’s spark set the 10\,000 Ahoy audience on \nfire . They danced\, sang and clicked their fingers\, all under Myers’ direction. The best thing since Queen! Der Westen. (Ahoy Stadium Review) \nThe fabulous Killer Queen came on stage. What an impact! Mirage or Resurection? The group voted best tribute in the world entirely succeeded in resurrecting Freddie Mercury both physically and vocally. You almost believe you were at Wembley Stadium back in 1986. Voix Du Nord. France. \n“Killer Queen rocked the race crowd to the Ebor Stand’s rafters at the York Music Showcase last Saturday. The massive (15\,000) Knavesmire crowd bounced\, roared enthusiastically & punched the air on the terraces to Killer Queen’s charismatic and uncannily accurate \nrenditions of the Queen back catalogue\, … Freddie/Patrick\, strutted for all the world is if it were Live Aid …” BBC Yorkshire – Kate Lock \n“Patrick Myers’ recreation of Queen’s lead singer is simply uncanny.” -Baz Bamignoye Daily Mail \n“Killer Queen took to the stage\, the performance was scarily real. ‘Freddie Mercury’ gave it all he had in his trademark yellow suit – several outfit changes followed. The audience interaction could almost have been rehearsed. The crowd roared\, danced and joined in as though it was a requirement for entry. Brilliant.” -The Scotsman on Murrayfield Stadium

SUMMARY:The Paramount Tribute Series Presents: A Jim Morrison Celebration Featuring - Wild Child with Special Guest: Matty O'Brien Group
DESCRIPTION:Wild Child – Dave Brock’s Doors Experience is the Los Angeles based act with over 20 solid years of world tour experience and has flourished in the competitive L.A. Music Scene. Faithfully re-creating a live Doors Concert on stage\, the music is painstakingly reproduced and combined with the voice; look and essence of Jim Morrison live on stage (performed by lead singer Dave Brock). \nWild Child tries to mirror the depth\, energy and emotion of The Doors concerts as they were live back in the late 1960’s. The Band also utilizes the same musical instruments live as The Doors did over 40 years ago. Wild Child performs internationally\, playing to packed venues around the globe. \nFront man\, Dave Brock\, started his role as the Lizard King by grabbing the lead in the” Jim Morrison Rock Opera\,” produced by the late legends sister\, Anna Morrison Graham. Anna personally selected Brock for the part. From there\, he started the band “Wild Child\,” whose reputation rapidly spread from Southern California to remote areas of the world. \nWild Child’s first show at The Whisky a-Go-Go was on July 3rd\, 1986. A long string of sell out shows at The Whisky has continued for Wild Child to this date. Wild Child broke right into the national act venue circuit\, and continues to play across the country and abroad to packed touring act venues. The band relies on stage craft and musicianship to create an event that people will remember\, without corn ball antics and pretentious banter. This is a serious\, touring re-creation stage show! Two years ago the band produced “Wild Child – Live In Concert” a 22 song double disc CD set of songs that The Doors made popular on stage as well as songs from their last album that they were never able to perform live with Jim Morrison\, due to his unexpected death. Below is what one expert said about the CD set:… \n[Wild Child’s live CD] has been in production for over a year as lead singer David Brock has sought perfection on each and every song. I honestly think that this recording could get passed off to even a seasoned collector as being a new unheard Doors live show from the 1960’s. It’s the most incredible re-creation that I have ever heard” (Kerry Humpherys – The Doors Collectors Magazine)

SUMMARY:Firefly Artists Watercolor Masters Series: Fabio Cembranelli
DESCRIPTION:The Firefly Artists are pleased to announce this 4th installment in our Watercolor Masters Series championed by Firefly Jan Guarino\, a lifelong learner who loves to bring artists who inspire her in to teach you!!! \nFabio Cembranelli\, a renowned Brazilian artist\, started painting at university\, where he studied architecture. After graduating\, he took drawing\, sculpture and photography courses in his home town of São Paolo\, and continued his studies in Europe and US during the 90s. He still lives and works in São Paulo. His paintings feature in exhibitions and collections worldwide\, \nFabio currently works in two artistic fields: watercolours and acrylics\, and his unique and luminous floral watercolours are known internationally.\n\nExplaining why he has chosen transparent watercolour as his favorite medium\, he says\, “What compels me to paint with this approach is the possibility of painting quickly. It suits my personality best — the fluidity of the medium provides a unique sensation of unexpected colour mixing\, particularly when I define only the main masses and allow the unpredictable to happen on the rest of the paper. Timing is quite important in my method. I lean intuitively toward realism\, but the right speed forces me to create diffused effects and shapes. I love painting flowers and landscapes in watercolour and I’m always enchanted by the attempt to capture the contrast between loose and definitive edges\, as well as light and shadow effects.” \nFabio teaches painting techniques in his studio\, in art galleries\, as well as workshops and painting holidays throughout Brazil and abroad. Nowadays his work is focused on plein air painting\, observing and studying nature firsthand at inspiring outdoor locations. \nIn the upcoming years he will be tutoring several workshops in Europe\, Asia and North America. He is also a regular contributor to various painting magazines and also works as illustrator for some publishing in South America. \n(Please note that the attached image is a artist sample only\, and not what will be painted during the workshop)

SUMMARY:The Paramount Tribute Series Presents: "Southern RockFest" Celebrating the Music of Lynyrd Snynyrd & The Allman Brothers Band Featuring: A Brothers Revival with Special Guest: Classic Skynyrd Live
DESCRIPTION:There is one band with the musical roots to properly carry on the music and spirit of the Allman Brothers Band; that band is A Brothers Revival. \nLed by Allman Brothers’ bassist (78-82) David “Rook” Goldflies\, A Brothers Revival is a legacy Allman Brothers Band whose bandleader spent years learning from and performing with Gregg\, Dickey\, Butch\, and Jaimoe. \nWith the Allman Brothers\, as well as Dickey Betts and Great Southern\, David toured the U.S. and Europe and learned first-hand how the Allman Brothers sound was created. He performed for crowds as large as 100\,000 people in arenas such as Soldiers Field and Mile High Stadium and on television shows like Saturday Night Live\, Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert\, and Solid Gold. Rook received a Grammy nomination for the Allman Brothers instrumental “Pegasus” from Enlightened Rogues\, a Billboard Top 10 certified Gold album. David is recognized by many fans as one of the Allman Brothers’ most dynamic bass players\, with his playing akin to the aggressive style of original Allman Brothers’ bassist\, Berry Oakley. \nJoining Rook in A Brothers Revival is vocalist and keyboardist Mike Kach who toured with Dickey Betts and Great Southern for more than a decade. Mike was Dickey’s choice to carry on the sound of Gregg Allman’s bluesy performances. The moment Mike sings the first few words of the popular show opener “Ain’t My Cross to Bear\,” it’s clear that Mike is imbued with a gift that brings people back to when they first heard Gregg Allman’s unique voice. \nDuring the two-and-a-half-hour show\, David leads A Brothers Revival through all the Allman Brothers’ songs that we love: Jessica\, One Way Out\, Statesboro Blues\, Midnight Rider\, Melissa\, Ramblin’ Man\, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed\, Soulshine\, Whipping Post\, and a few surprises for the fans that enjoy the deep jams. These brothers perform the songs with authentic passion while paying homage to the improvisational spirit of the original band\, pushing the songs to new heights.
