SUMMARY:The Sparrows @ Ninnet & George's
DESCRIPTION:Christmas! Paris! 1935! The Sparrows return with an all new show inspired by the true story behind Ninnet and George’s. Ninnet survived the Titantic (you may recall her from the movie Titanic\, as Madame Aubart\, Benjamin Guggenhiem’s mistress…) and lived a long and full life in the heart of Paris. Her longtime roommate\, George\, was an equally colorful character\, and we are so grateful to have their stories as inspiration. \nThe Sparrows come to Ninnet and George’s for the first time with a brand new interactive show featuring a live jazz band\, high energy swing dancing\, and all your favorite Sparrows shenaningans. \nThis time\, it’s Paris \,1935\, on a cold Christmas Eve. We’ll take you to a fête inspired by Ninnet’s legendary parties. You’ll meet a wild array of characters\, hear all of your Christmas favorites\, and you yourself may even get in on some of the action…

SUMMARY:Harborfields Library Presents: Eastline Theatre Company performing THE GUYS by Anne Nelson
DESCRIPTION:This play depicts the experience of an editor named Joan who receives an unexpected phone call just two weeks after 9/11. The call came from Nick\, a fire captain who has lost most of his men in the attack. He’s looking for a writer to help him with the eulogies he must present at their memorial services. Nick and Joan spent a long afternoon together\, recalling the fallen men by recounting their virtues and their foibles and fashioning the stories into memorials of words. Based on a true story. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Free tickets will be available at the Circulation Desk.
