Each OBMF concert is a variety show featuring a diverse range of musical repertoire from a performing cast of around 25 musicians – including vocalists\, pianists\, strings and wind players. The talent pool includes world-class musicians with international reputations\, and local classical music stars. Every performance exudes both professionalism and joy\, telling a story uplifted by a genuine love for music felt by everyone in the room. \nFriday\, June 28 8pm – When Nature Calls – Hosted by Teddy Siegel at Hecksher Park\nTeddy Siegel\, dynamic soprano and creator of Got2Go joins with Oyster Bay Music Festival to present a\nconcert like none other. Together with a lineup of star musicians all in their twenties – including virtuoso\npianist Maxim Lando\, celebrated bassoonist Eleni Katz\, and National Symphony Orchestra flutist\nMatthew Ross – Teddy weaves together an evening of bathroom stories\, humor and great music. Featured\non the program will be selections from favorite Broadway musicals\, as well as music by Gershwin\,\nShostakovich\, Dvorak\, Mozart\, Bernstein\, and more.

Every performance exudes both professionalism and joy\, telling a story uplifted by a genuine love for music felt by everyone in the room. \nThursday\, June 27 7-9pm – The Romantics: Musical Drama for the Ages at Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock\nOBMF presents a concert filled with musical drama and unbridled passion of the Romantic Era – with a few hints of a new modern sound to come. The varied program includes Glinka’s emotional Trio Pathétique for bassoon\, clarinet\, and piano; dramatic opera arias from the popular OBMF Singers; music by Brahms\, Schumann\, and Fanny Mendelssohn; the Dutilleux Flute Sonatine; and Kreisler’s Tambourin Chinois played on the erhu.

DESCRIPTION:The Babylon Village Arts Council will present its 2nd Thursday Concert on Thursday\, May 9 featuring The Vinny Raniolo Tro. The concert will begin at 8 pm at the Babylon Gazebo. \nVinny will be performing classic swing tunes made famous by his guitar heroes Les Paul\, Django Reinhardt\, Johnny Smith\, and Bucky Pizzarelli. Adrien Chevalier will be adding French flair with his violin and vocals. \nIn addition to his busy touring schedule\, Vinny Raniolo has become a familiar figure on Public Television. Featured previously on three popular shows\, including the heavily programmed Tommy Emmanuel and Friends\, in Frank Vignola’s Four Generations of Guitar as the youngest generation in the lineage of jazz guitarists with veteran Bucky Pizzarelli and in the Music Gone Public series. \nRecording credits include soundtracks for HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”\,” Amazon Prime’s “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”\, Hulu’s “Fued: Capote vs. The Swans”\, Woody Allen’s film “Café Society\,” and Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon.” \nThis concert is free and open to the public. It is made possible through Suffolk County through the Omnibus 192 grant. BVAC is a 501(c)3 organization.
