DESCRIPTION:Eric’s Courageous Portals band will be performing original compositions that mix elements of Jazz\, Funk and various Latin grooves. The title of the band comes from a Wayne Shorter quote\, and the first sentence of Wayne’s quote is\, “I think that music opens portals and doorways into unknown sectors that it takes courage to leap into.” Wayne Shorter was one of Eric’s teachers when Eric attended the Herbie Hancock Institute in Los Angeles. The Courageous Portals band will feature trombone\, flugelhorn\, tenor saxophone\, guitar\, and original groovy electronic soundscapes.
