DESCRIPTION:July 6\, 2022 – Concert 2 – Kids Night Out\nThe Huntington Community Band celebrates all things kids! Our young friends will hear music from Harry Potter\, Star Wars\, Casey at Bat\, and a staple of children’s concerts across the country\, Peter and the Wolf. HCB’s loyal audience will also be treated to a special performance of “Old Grumbly Bear” featuring Tim Eckstrum on tuba.\nThe Kids Night Out concert will also feature the winner of the first annual HCB Student Solo Competition. This winning senior represents one of the many talented student musicians across the town of Huntington!\nIn addition\, one lucky young audience member will get the chance to conduct the band in a fan favorite march: On the Mall! The featured guest conductor will be Stimson Middle School Band Director\, Jennifer Schmelter. \nBring folding chairs or large blankets. Pre-Concert entertainment featuring the HCB Brass Quintet will begin at 6:45PM. HCB Concert begins at 8:00PM.
