SUMMARY:Lifestage\, Inc presents (mostly) TRUE THINGS Storytelling Show
DESCRIPTION:(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a game wrapped in a storytelling show\, featuring true stories told by comedy-wrangling\, heartstrings-pulling storytellers from all walks of life\, who range from experienced award-winning performers to many who are entirely new to the experience of sharing a story onstage.\nThe theme of these stories is SECOND CHANCES and features stories by: \nRita Rigano (Generation Women\, The Story Collider\, TALE)\nAnoush Froundjian (The Moth podcast\, Stories From The Stage)\nWayne Robins (Substack\, former rock music critic for Newsday\, LI Rock Music Hall of Fame)\nWill Clegg (Awkward Teenage Years\, Moth slam winner\, solo writer/performer)\nJean Candiotte (Emmy-nominated Creative Television Executive\, improviser)\nJude Treder-Wolff (host\, The Story Collider\, Generation Women\, RISK! live show and podcast\, Story District)\nThe game is this: all but one of the storytellers include carefully-crafted\, subtle little lies into their story. In Act 2\, the audience gets to question the storytellers – who can improvise their responses – then votes for the person they think told their story with no lies. Some improvised\, story-inspired music and songs written for the show by host/creator Jude Treder-Wolff are additional ingredients for a high-energy\, often hilarious\, emotion-packed and entertaining show. There are prizes involved\, if you can believe a thing like that.
