This photographic essay explores over 40 of the most evocative abandoned sites in the Empire State and puts individual stories in the larger context of New York’s historical legacy. \nThis program is made possible through frnds from the Statewide Community Regrant and administered through the Huntington Arts Council.

SUMMARY:Babylon Village Arts Council Presents Fourth Sunday Series
DESCRIPTION:The Babylon Village Arts Council and the Village of Babylon Historical and Preservation Society with thee Heckscher Museum will present Salt Life: Arthur Dove and Helen Torr \, an exhibit that presents approximately 60 works on paper by modern NY artists Arthur Dove (1880-1946) and Helen Torr(1886-1967). We will explore the couple’s connection to nature\, their experimentation with materials and techniques\, and their fascination with Long Island. \nIn collaboration with the Village of Babylon Historical and Preservation Society this series is funded through a SCR grant administered through the Huntington Arts Council.
