Whether it is gallery sitting on weekends, coming in weekly to help with office tasks, or program related projects, we are grateful for their reliability and dedication to HAC. • Kathy Williams Ging • Allison Shortell • Qun Shi • Heather Addams • Ian Fontanes • Sondra Somin • Debra Fink • Natasha Chabria Volunteers & Interns HAC staff member Sueey Gutierrez with weekend volunteer Allison Shortell photo by HAC Artist Debra Fink with HAC staff member Patty Eljaiek. photo by D.A.J.S In December we had a fundraising event in our gallery that tied into our Small Canvas Big Impact Exhibition. It was a full house, energetic crowd and fast paced evening! We had volunteers checking guests in at the door, registering artwork and selling HAC merchandise. A great time was had by all as evident in these photos of the volunteers with some of our staff members. Never could have done it without them! Volunteers have the opportunity to assist in so many different ways: the front office, answering calls, basic computer work with Excel and Microsoft Word projects, mailings and gallery sitting on weekends. As a gallery sitter we will train you to open and close the gallery, provide information on the exhibition on display, and you choose the days and time. Go to our website for more information and to sign up to help out www. huntingtonarts.org under the “How Can You Help” tab. Interns Internships offer work experience for students yearround. College and high school students may apply for internships to gain valuable work experience or as “student volunteer” to assist with general office tasks.
