Pre-Concert performance (7:45) by the Northport Community Jazz Orchestra; Guest Conductors Dr. Izzet Mergen, Director of Fine and Performing Arts, Northport Schools, and Andy Isca of the Association of Concert Bands; The Stars and Stripes Forever conducted by raffle winner (see below); Tchaikovsky\’s \”1812 Overture\” complete with two cannons and guest musicians from local high schools.
All concerts begin at 8:30 at the Robert W. Krueger Bandstand in Northport Village Park at the foot of Main Street, Northport. ***New this year: in case of rain, concerts will be performed at Northport High School, Laurel Hill Road in the Robert W. Krueger Center for the Performing Arts. Site change will be advertised after 3:00 pm each date on our website, www.ncb59.org, Facebook, News 12 and other media.
”Bring a Can to the Concert”: non-perishable food donations are accepted each week by Long Island Cares. Each item is worth one raffle ticket; valuable prizes are raffled each week, including the chance to conduct the band in “The Stars and Stripes Forever” at the Finale!
