Invitational Exhibition Opportunity

The Huntington Arts Council offers variousĀ Invitational Opportunities to exhibit and showcase our artist membership. Through pop-up opportunities with various community partners and 2 small group exhibition slots available in our gallery, we aim to help our artist members share their talents with the community.

Interested artist members are required to submit aĀ unifiedĀ body of work as part of the application to HAC for review. The council is responsible for selecting the individual artists or a combination of artists to exhibit. Invitational opportunities are open to current HAC artist members or you may register as a member upon acceptance into an Invitational Show.
Ā
Popup Opportunities: These are typically short single or multiple day events and feature several artists with multiple pieces. Artist selected to show with community partners will do so free of charge. The artist will be responsible for delivering pieces to the gallery for staff to transport and hang during these pop-up opportunities.
Ā
Small Group Shows: Artist who are selected for a small group exhibition at Main Street Gallery will be responsible for their share of a $740 administrative fee. The artists will also be in charge of but not limited to, installing, de-installing, gallery cleanup, opening reception* with guidance and assistance of a lead staff member. The Main Street Gallery offers 85 feet of running wall space and plenty of room for pedestalled or free standing three dimensional pieces. These shows run for a period of four to five weeks, with the exhibition dates predetermined by HAC. The Huntington Arts Council will support the artists by publicizing the exhibition through social media, our website and eblasts.
