Huntington Arts Council Presents Conversations in the Arts: “The Arts and African American Experience”
February 13, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$5 – $10
Conversations in the Arts offers participatory talks with artists and scholars from our community to help us enrich our arts experiences and more fully understand the values and contributions the arts add to society. Huntington Arts Council proudly offers this forum to help stimulate and promote the arts. Engaged inquiries and dialogues are a healthy way to explore ideas and facilitate collaborations and networking opportunities.
“The Arts and African American Experience” is Feb. 13. African American experience and culture developed outside of mainstream American culture. In recognition of Black History Month, we will explore the diversity and rich artistic contributions of African Americans to American culture. The panel will discuss their experiences in the arts and how they use their voices and visions to inspire and educate.
Open to the public. $5 for HAC members (contact Kieran Johnson firstname.lastname@example.org for the discount code). $10 for non-members. One participant per registration.
