Huntington Arts Council Presents 2018 Long Island Grants for the Arts Workshops

The Huntington Arts Council administers the Decentralization Regrant Program to Nassau and Suffolk county artists and nonprofit arts organizations. The program was started in 1977 and formed to ensure funding for the arts reaches every part of New York State. This program supports a variety of categories in the hopes of keeping the arts alive and well in communities. Categories are: Creative Communities, Creative Learning, and Creative Individual. Those interested in applying for this program must attend a free informational grants workshop. Workshops are held at the following dates, times, and locations: June 5 @ 6PM, Smithtown Library; June 7 @ 2PM, East Meadow Library; June 12 @ 6PM, Patchogue Arts Council; June 18 @ 6PM, East End Arts Center; June 19 @ 6PM, Freeport Memorial Library; June 21 @ 6PM, African American Museum of Nassau County; June 28 @ 6PM, Huntington Public Library. Check the website listed about for the most up-to-date information. Application submissions open June 29 and close September 14.
