ARTS ORGANIZATIONS & INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS
The Huntington Arts Council Announces the 2010 JPMorgan Chase Organization/Stabilization and Artist Reach Out Grant Programs
HUNTINGTON, NY, 15 January 2009 -- The Huntington Arts Council is now accepting submissions for the 2010 JPMorgan Chase Organization/Stabilization Regrant and Artist Reach Out Grant programs. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 19, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
The Organization/Stabilization Regrant, made possible through the JPMorgan Chase Regrant Program, provides grant awards of up to $3,000 to small and mid-sized arts organizations within Nassau and Suffolk Counties. This program supports projects, services and capital expenditures that focus on strategic planning, organizational development and capacity building for organizations with a history of at least three years as a 501(c)3 organization.
The Artist Reach Out Grant provides opportunities for individual artists of all disciplines to receive $2000 for the creation of projects, programs and events that support community involvement as part of the art-making process. Community involvement and artistic quality are essential to this grant program.
To further promote the JPMorgan Chase funding program, the Huntington Arts Council will offer additional information at five grant seminars across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The schedule, which can be found online at www.huntingtonarts.org in the Grants for the Arts section of Programs, includes the times, dates and locations for each of the workshops. Attendance is mandatory for all prospective applicants. To review the schedule or to register for one of the five upcoming workshops, please contact Melissa Mickens, Grants for the Arts Coordinator at the Huntington Arts Council, at 631.271.8423 x 16 or at grants4arts@huntingtonarts.org.
