
Public Invited to Opening Reception for
"VOLIS: Views of Long Island Shores"
Fifth Annual Photography Show
At Main Street Petite Gallery
HUNTINGTON, NY –The public is invited to meet the artists selected to appear in the Huntington Arts Council's Fifth Annual Photography Show at the artists' reception this Friday evening, May 30, from 6 – 8 p.m. Photographic artist, lecturer and competition judge Leon Hertzson selected from dozens of entries for "VOLIS: Views of Long Island Shores," which runs until July 25 at the Main Street Petite Gallery, 213 Main Street, Huntington. Hertzson is well-qualified to judge photographs: he is past president of more than five camera clubs in New York and Connecticut, including the Photographic Federation of Long Island (PFLI). He will be available on Saturday, June 7 after 1 p.m. to meet with photographers and anyone interested in discussing the exhibit.
The images in this show present the activities, scenery and aspects of nature of our Long Island shorelines. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and afternoons on the first two Saturdays of the month. More information is available at huntingtonarts.org or call 631.271.8423.
