Community Partnership Creates Cultural Wonders

The Huntington Arts Council's Guitar Program had a full house for its spring recital at Tri Community & Youth Agency's Huntington Station location on May 29, 2008. It was a proud occasion for the students who performed for their families, friends and supporters of the program. The enthusiastic audience included NYS Assemblyman James Conte, guitar player and contributor to the program, as well as TOH Councilwoman Susan Berland. Another program supporter, D'Addario Music Foundation of Farmingdale, was represented by Huntington Arts Council Board Member Pat Zerbo and his wife Julie. Students' guitars had been provided with the help of Murphy's Music in Melville. The program has been a wonderful opportunity for the nine children involved and all would like to have it resume in the fall.
