General Information:
Huntington’s Heckscher Park outdoor amphitheater is The Chapin Rainbow Stage and was built in 1979.  Construction is stucco and wood with a roll steel door facing the audience area.  Seating on the grassy slope can accommodate and audience of 7,500.  Audience members bring their own folding chairs or cushions, as the park provides no seats.  All performances at the Chapin Rainbow Stage are free to the public.

Masking:

Floor:
Plywood over sleepers, over concrete and painted battleship gray.
Black cushioned Marley ("Dance Step") is available

Fly system:
Hand winch, 8 - line sets, all are in use.

Orchestra pit:
42’-0" wide x 12’-0" deep (us/ds) and is 3’-6" below the stage and house levels. The pit is accessible from both the stage and the house

Lighting and audio control:
The open air booth is located 90’ from the stage and is on centerline

Followspot positions:
Located 90’ from the stage and 4’-0" right and left of centerline, directly above control booth. The spot lenses are approximately 18’ above stage height

Loading doors:
Located stage right at street/stage level. 7’-9" high x 5’-6" wide, 5’-0" from stage.

Misc. Equipment:
1 Genie Personnel Lift, maximum height 24’-0"
1 8’ step ladder
1 12’ extension ladder

Dressing rooms:
Two (2) large air-conditioned rooms, each with baths including toilet, sink and shower. Will accommodate 12-15 (or more) people each. One (1) small "star" dressing room located within the stage left dressing room with toilet and sink can accommodate one person. Ample counter space, electrical outlets, mirrors, and incandescent lighting; costume racks, hangers, irons and ironing board

Dressing rooms are located upstage left and right at stage level, approximately 25’ from the stage

Amenities:
Artists have access to a refrigerator, sink and microwave located in the theatre crossover.

96 2.4kw LMI touring rack currently patched dimmer per circuit overhead, 12 dimmers dedicated to front of house positions, 1 dimmer dedicated to house lights and 1 dimmer dedicated to sponsor banners

Sound System

The sound reinforcement system is a horn loaded, stereo, 4 way system. The house mixing console has 24 input channels, 4 separate monitor mixes and 2 effects sends. Speaker stacks are mounted in cabinets outside the building at a height of 12 feet. Mix position is located 90 feet in front of the stage
