Wizard of Oz (Plaza Theatrical Production)

Now in its 62nd year, the Huntington Men's Chorus was a founding member of the Huntington Arts Council. With over 100 active singing members, the chorus will perform a delightful variety of songs.

One of the world’s most versatile and respected percussionists, Steven Kroon grew up in the presence of many influential R&B and jazz musicians, but he’s never forgotten his Latin roots.    His new album, El Mas Alla (Beyond), is loaded with the kind of melodic and rhythmic performances that make Latin jazz universally appealing.

An alternative rap artist from Brooklyn, NY, Theophilus London has a genre-bending approach draws from a range of styles, from soul-pop and post-punk to electro and contemporary R&B.  Citing influences that include Michael Jackson and Prince, London made his album debut in 2009 with This Charming Man.

“Harry Chapin: A Celebration in Song,”
July 16 will mark 30 years since an automobile crash on the Long Island Expressway took the life of singer, songwriter and social activist Harry Chapin. Two generations of Chapins – Harry’s daughter Jen, his brothers Tom and Steve, the Chapin Sisters and others, will gather to honor that anniversary and Harry’s life, music and legacy.  This family reunion concert is collaboration among the Huntington Arts Council, the Town of Huntington, Long Island Cares and the Folk Music Society of Huntington. Fittingly, the family will perform on The Chapin Rainbow Stage, which will be rededicated that evening.

The Long Island Dance Consortium No. 1
The Long Island Dance Consortium is composed of presenters, dance advocates, dance professionals, Arts Councils and dance related studios.  Tonight’s program will include the Long Island Dance Company performing an exquisite repertoire of Dance pieces; Circle of Dance and it's unique, modern stylistic approach; and the Red Hot Mamas tuneful variety of "Mack the Knife,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," “Anything Goes," and "There's No Business Like Show Business."

HCB finale concert welcomes back guest conductor and HCB Music Director Laureate Robert V. Domencetti. The Refugees

The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical A Chorus Line, leap, turns and tap its way to center stage. A collection of dancers are asked to tell the director about themselves in order to land a part in a Broadway show. Songs include “What I Did for Love,” “At the Ballet,” and “One.”

Teatro SEA- Ricitos and the Three Bears
Super nosey Ricitos (Goldilocks) leads audiences on a Latinized adventure in this bi-lingual version of the classic fairy tale. Integrating life-size puppetry with live-action theatre and music, Ricitos learns many important lessons and becomes good friends with the Bear family.

The Long Island Dance Consortium No. 2
Long Island Dance Consortium’s second evening brings you the American Dance Theatre of Long Island, with its large company performing major, multiple dances; Variations, a Dancer's Studio providing a variety of unique dance numbers; and the Long Island Ballet Theatre, under the direction of Christopher Fleming who will be creating a new work for this evening in the Park.  Last, but not least, the Long Island High School for the Arts (LIHSA) will present its troop of talented dancers performing under the direction of the school's professional staff.
