The Suffolk County Office of Film and Cultural Affairs announces a new, streamlined grant program for small community arts organizations, to be administered by The Suffolk County Alliance of Arts Councils - Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts, Brookhaven Arts and Humanities Council, East End Arts Council, Greater Port Jefferson-Northern Brookhaven Arts Council. Huntington Arts Council, and Smithtown Township Arts Council. The County will appropriate $12,000 to each of the seven County arts councils to distribute in amounts of $500 to $5000 to community arts groups performing or exhibiting in each of the seven service areas. This competitive program is similar to the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization program administered by the Huntington Arts Council.
