“The vast quantity and quality of images submitted for the exhibit made this a very difficult curatorial challenge” stated Mr. Burg. “My aim was to select photographs that illustrated the theme, A Day on Long Island, and which went above and beyond in expressing the feeling of the place, the people who live here, and the moods associated with its unique landscape. Many people took to the beach, the north and south shores, and captured the light of sunrise and sunset. I also selected images that were quirky and imaginative, in the level of craft, compelling composition or subject matter. In all, the selection demonstrates that a Day on Long Island is a beautiful and charmed experience.”
